Peer Review Policy

The International Journal of Emerging Research Frontiers (IJERF) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review conducted by qualified experts in the relevant field. The review process is designed to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and scientific integrity of the research published in the journal.

Double-Blind Peer Review

IJERF follows a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This approach helps eliminate potential bias and ensures that manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, methodological rigor, originality, and contribution to knowledge.

Initial Editorial Evaluation

Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to determine its suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with submission guidelines. Manuscripts that fail to meet basic quality standards, ethical requirements, or formatting guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without external review.

Reviewer Assignment

Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, research methodology, accuracy of results, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s objectives.

Review Outcomes

Based on reviewers' recommendations, the editorial decision may fall into one of the following categories:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Accept with major revisions
  • Resubmit for further review
  • Reject

Authors are provided with reviewers' comments and are expected to address all concerns satisfactorily before the manuscript can proceed toward publication.

Review Timeline

IJERF strives to provide timely decisions while maintaining the quality of the review process. The typical review timeline is as follows:

  • Initial Editorial Screening: 3–5 working days
  • Peer Review Process: 2–4 weeks
  • Final Editorial Decision: 5–7 working days
  • Online Publication: Within 7 days after acceptance

Confidentiality

All manuscripts submitted to IJERF are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editorial staff are required to maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts to third parties.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence their evaluation of a manuscript. In such cases, alternative reviewers will be assigned to ensure a fair and impartial review process.

Ethical Standards

The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical publishing standards. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practice identified during the review process will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript and may lead to further action by the editorial board.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief retains the final authority regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, and its relevance to the journal’s scope and objectives.
